Realization of snowblock barriers which are panels made of cabling, these barriers are essentially made up of steel struts and steel netting so forming an active barrier which prevents masses of snow sliding downhill at high altitudes.
These barriers are positioned in rows in sites where the accumulated snow reaches between 3 – 5 metres, so that the snow cannot slip down the steepest slopes destroying whatever structure it finds on its path.
The projecting and developing of these barriers is then followed up by testing and experimenting on them. This takes place in an Institute, leader in this field, which has its Headquarters in Davos, Switzerland.
